Julie Duggan Releases new Banjo Videos on www.BanjoFrailer.com
September 19, 2006 ~ WHITECREEK NY ~ Musician Julie Duggan is proud to announce the release of 3 new banjo videos, produced by www.CambridgeValleyArts.com, on her web site www.BanjoFrailer.com along with previous videos and a large selection of MP3s.

Julie, a Fine Art teacher at Cambridge Central School (CCS), has been playing the banjo since the early 1990’s and is quickly becoming one of the nations most well-known “Clawhammer” banjo players.

Clawhammer banjo playing is also known as “Frailing”, “Oldtimey”, or “Knock-Down” style banjo, with deep roots in the Southern Appalachia Mountains. Julie plays mainly on open back banjos and prefers one she has from the late 1880’s that provides an authentic “thumpy” sound for the style.

Julie’s banjo style has been influenced mostly by Wade Ward, along with banjo players Tommy Jarrell, Matoki Slaughter, Fred Cockerham, Brad Leftwich, Bruce Molsky , Dan Levenson , Mac Benford, and Richie Stearns.
